Get in behind ! AK Grant was one of New Zealand's most well known satirical writers.  Famous for many other TV programs including McPhail and Gadbsy.  Grant turned his attention to Murray Ball's well loved cartoon strip "Footrot Flats".  Tawa Community Theatre put on the dance teacher stage musical with help from local Hayley (choreographer).  Dog was played by Tim Gruar, Cheeky by Erin and Wal by Rob (who is also the local Postman).  Ross Pedder, current president, turned out a fine "major" the pig dog.  The Wellington Theatre Federation voted "Delores the Pig" the best actor of the year, at the Antoinettes that year.
